Meet Dr. Philip Azordegan: Neurosurgeon Specializing in Spine Care

The spine care you’ve been waiting for is coming to Capital Ortho!

Beginning November 1, respected neurosurgeon Philip Azordegan, MD, will bring more than 30 years of experience to the launch of Capital Ortho’s new spine program—giving patients access to specialized spine care, advanced MRI, physical therapy, and surgical services—all within one locally owned, community-focused practice.

“For years, our patients have asked when Capital Ortho would add a spine surgeon to our team. We knew we wanted the right physician to lead that effort,” said Matt Futvoye, MD, physician owner and president of the Capital Ortho Board of Directors. “Dr. Azordegan brings decades of experience, an outstanding reputation, and a deeply personal approach to patient care that aligns with who we are. We are excited to welcome him and expand the specialized care available through our locally owned practice.”

Specialization in Neck & Back Conditions

Dr. Azordegan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of neck and back conditions, including surgery when appropriate. He treats patients experiencing persistent neck or back pain, pain that radiates into the arms or legs, numbness, tingling, weakness, and other symptoms related to spinal conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and nerve compression.

Known for his personal, hands-on approach, Dr. Azordegan prioritizes face-to-face time with his patients. He listens carefully to their concerns and works with each patient to develop a treatment plan focused on achieving the best possible quality of life.

“I treat my patients how I want to be treated—and how I would want my family to be treated,” Dr. Azordegan said.
